I have somehow added duplicated blank records and have duplicated another. I have tried all the options: delete this individual as well as merge, without success. Do I need to wait for the database to update itself? I have logged out and then in but the duplicated records remain. Is there an in-depth tutorial available for using Geneanet?

I am adding this note because I have just discovered that unlinking the relationship of the blank individual/record seems to get rid of it. However, it wont surprise me if I later find that it's still there when I log back on.
I think it's about time that some serious work was done on the coding of this software. I felt like biting my arm off at times.

Dear Sir,

If you have duplicated some individual, you must unlink it from the family tree then delete it.

To unlink it, click "Edit > Edit relationship" in the menu then click "Remove link between all of these persons" at the bottom of the edit form.

To delete it, click "Edit > Delete individual" in the menu.
Best wishes,
